Prutah coins-barley stalk reliefs

This is a "Prutah" coin from the period of Agrippa I. 37-44 AD
On one side there are barley stalk and on the other side ancient writing
and Hupay Apirion which is a royal sign  

Based on this historic item, I created a serie of wall relief 25X25 cm approx. made of clay, brass, glass.
Metalsmithing technique, Mixed media art. Meaningful and charming!!

Each symbol has its own ancient meaning and mystic power.

תליון בת מצווה

התליון הינו בהשראת מטבעות קדומים של הארץ

בניגוד למטבעות החשמונאים ורוב מטבעות המרד הגדול, אנשי בר כוכבא לא טבעו מטבעות על גבי אסימונים חדשים, אלא טבעו אותם על גבי המטבעות הנוכריים שהצליחו לאסוף או להחרים. הם שייפו את  דיוקנאות הקיסרים הרומאים, ואת הכתובות הנוכריות. מסיבה זאת נזכרים מטבעות בר כוכבא בדברי חז"ל  תור: "דינרי דטריינא הדריינא שייפא

להלן מטבע שקל מתקופת המרד הגדול 
מטבעות אלו שימשו השראה למטבעות בארץ ישראל שהוטבעו בשנות ה-60

         מנורת שבעת הקנים

 מופיעה לראשונה כסמל לאומי בזמן מסעי בני ישראל במדבר כאחד מתשמישי המשכן  

  מקורה התוכני והצורני של מנורת שבעת הקנים הוא "עץ החיים". במסורת היהודית קשור "עץ 

החיים" בעץ השקד, אולי משום שהשקד מקדים לפרוח והוא נחשב כסמל אידיאלי לחיים ולתחייה  התכשיטים עם סמל המנורה מעניקים משמעות מיוחדת לתכשיט. העגילים מלבישים את האוזן בצורה מושלמת  בגימור מוקפד ונוחות ענידה גבוהה
